Love, passion, danger, and betrayal amid the glitter of Manhattan . . .

As Melanie gazed into the golden pond of champagne, her reflection shimmered back at her in honey ripples.
Her reflection and another.
“Do you know the legend of Narcissus?” he asked.
It was a taunt, a reminder of her vanity.
Yesterday’s gentle early-morning moments in the park were a mirage, after all.
“I'm not admiring myself.”
“Neither was Narcissus. He was a twin. He and his sister looked very much alike. When she died he spent endless hours gazing at his reflection because it reminded him of her.”
“I always thought . . . wasn’t there something about a wood nymph named Echo?”
Charles smiled. “There are two versions of the myth. The mythologists are divided to this day.”
“Poor Narcissus. What a bad rap. Hard enough to be a twin.” Melanie spoke without thinking. Here she was, telling Charles Sinclair the truth again.
“Hard enough,” he agreed easily.

Brooke and Melanie Chandler are sisters, and twins. But they could not be more different. Brooke is a serious, driven, ambitious New York City prosecutor. Melanie is a golden, glamorous, sophisticated supermodel.

The twin sisters were close, once upon a time, until the realities of life - and their differences - tore them apart. They are living in Manhattan now, pursuing their careers and falling in love. There are complicated pursuits for both of them. And each woman is wondering, too, if the closeness she once shared with her twin might be possible again...or if jealousy, separation, bitterness, and betrayal have irrevocably shattered the bond.

The wishes of their hearts are perilous enough. But there is true danger for the sisters. An obsessed and brazen killer has them in his sights.

I enjoyed this novel while sitting outside tanning over the weekend. It was a compelling read and I liked the plot twists. Evocative emotion kept me turning pages. I must say this Kindle edition had the most typos of any Kindle book I have read so far. Still recommend the book and would like to see more Katherine Stone e-books.

Twins eBook Katherine Stone Reviews

I love all Kathrine stones books. I have all her books either in paper back or hard back plus all of the ones she has on ebook and waiting for her to start writing again and putting more on ebooks I give her a 5star rating and would go higher if possible
Honestly, I did not expect the book to be that good but it was! It was not your ordinary "twins" book. It had a strong plot, the suspense building up with each page. I especially like the Nick-Brooke meeting. Also, the twins' relationship, though strained still showed trust and love.
I loved this book, it was a definate page turner for me and I could not wait to finish it. I normally do not have time to read during the day, so I stayed up one night to read the entire book because I just could not put it down. A must read if you like romance, mystery and a nice flow in the authors writing.
It’s cliché. It’s sentimental. It’s stereotypical and obvious, right down to their names. Yet I loved every word of this book. I read this when I was very young, actually while I was still in high school. It was perfect. Like Sweet Valley High grown up.

My favorite character was Brooke Chandler. But I was surprised how much was depth was put into Melanie Chandler. She wasn’t your typical dumb blond. She was kind and neat and talented and very intelligent. She was actually very quiet, and it took effort for her to appear extroverted. It seemed she needed Brooke more than Brooke needed her, and oh, how much Brooke let jealousy manipulate her.

Love the story of the other twins Jason and Charles. Jason - light and bright; and Charles, brilliant, haunted, tortured and sexy.

Love even the whole crime drama. It’s terrible and salacious and even silly, but I still liked it.

Could this book be better written? Absolutely. But I think it would have disrupted the whole woeful tone of this book. There is a story, and it is a profound story. An old fashioned story. A very old story.

Story about twins, Brooke and Melanie Chandler. Brooke is intelligent, thinks she is not so attractive, but in college, for the first time separated from her twin, she blossoms. Melanie is beautiful, charismatic and kind, but she has other ambitions. Jealousy by Brooke separates them, and the whole drama that unfolds is surprising.

I didn’t dislike any of the characters. I thought the book wildly romantic. I acknowledge that its genre is not so much romance but fantasy. Acknowledging that, forgiving so much and understanding what the book was, it was a great fun book to read.

There are flaws. Flaws going way back to conception. Flaws with the maudlin sentimentality and the writing. But it all fit with the tone of the book, and I have to applaud its fierce ambition and consistency.

I understood this book and it's genre. It's not great literature but it is thrilling fun. I think it could make for a good film.
GREAT CONDITION
This book is worthwhile reading.
