‘As a child I learned to dream. I am going to tell you about this dream. It started when I was really young. It started the first time I heard angry voices. Screaming and shouting. It scared me. It terrified me. Still does...’
For 16 year old Peter Young the price of finding his place in the world was to lose the world in himself; it was not a price he could afford. After the violent abduction of his parents by the criminal ‘Golden Hand’, Peter and his brilliant friend, Navinda, flee to the Dream Factory - a stone hut on a deserted beach. Peter has a precious secret that he must protect, but someone in the village is determined to find them and destroy the Dream Factory.

The Dream Factory eBook John Simes Reviews
I have always loved to escape into my own world of dreams. A fantastic story by a very talented author and I look forward to the next book.
This haunting story is in the best West Country gothic tradition of menace and mystery, there are plenty of layers of plot and some “laugh out loud” humour that allows the reader an occasional intake of breath before returning to fathoming where the next twist will come. A wonderful read and I thoroughly recommend The Dream Factory Ghosts.
I have just finished reading the book. I was torn between reading it quickly as I could not wait to see what the next page brought, and reading it slowly as I did not want it to end! What a fascinating, intriguing story. Such colourful characters and beautifully descriptive. It drew me in as if I was in an enchanting 3D dream myself. Thoroughly absorbing and I cannot wait for 'A Game of Chess'.
Wow! What a great story. Imaginative, funny, and full of suspense, adventure ... and romance. John Simes has created a novel with love and attention to detail, drawing on his experience, his wonderful sense of humour, and by digging deep within himself. As with all good books for younger readers this makes adults think just as much. It left me wanting more ... the characters and storyline, while resolved in one sense, leave me asking questions that I hope will be answered in the near future!
